St. Patty's Day

This was one crazy week in our class.  The hard work paid off on St. Patrick's Day when we were able to see some fun and excitement with the leprechauns that visited our class.  Everyone made amazing leprechaun traps that included letters to entice them in, but to no prevail...  Here are a few of the traps that were made.

We set them up Wednesday afternoon and Thursday we had quite the surprise.
Everyone checked their traps to see if they'd caught anything.
We had to put the classroom back together.  The leprechauns had made a huge mess! Crayons, bears, markers, and gluesticks were everywhere!  There were gold coins and potatoes thrown around and all the cards had been flipped to red! The green cards were gone altogether.
Then we found the leprechaun's hat.
Later in the day we did some Lucky Charms math and were surprised again by the leprechauns stomping around in the ceiling above us.  Then, all of a sudden, they sprinkled gold glittery dust onto us from above the ceiling and dropped another hat.

At the end of the day everyone took their traps and the only thing that remained were some potatoes, gold and chocolates...
Until next year leprechauns....
