Calendar Update

I updated the September calendar and added Pirate Day.  This is a celebration in second grade on September 14th.  Students come to school dressed as pirates.  More details to follow.

Great Start
We are off to a great start! Thank you so much for sending in supplies right away. Please continue to send in any paperwork that I sent home. I know one of them says to bring it with you at Back to School night, you can send it sooner if you'd like :)

The class supply fee is $40 please send that in as soon as possible. Email me or send in a note if there is a difficulty with this or if you'd like to pay portions at a time.

I hope you've enjoyed your summer. Thank you so much for taking the time to come check out our class blog.  I will use this a lot throughout the year to post announcements, reminders, pictures and updates of what we've been up to in class.

I look forward to meeting and seeing all of you at the Ice Cream Social on Thursday or on the first day of school.  Please bring supplies and class fees with you on the first day if possible as well as the specific supplies I'm requesting for my class. (Supplies are posted below).  Please let me know if you have any questions.

Supplies
Here is the supply list for second grade in case you have misplaced yours.  This list is the same for all of the second grade teachers.  If I will be your teacher for the 2012-2013 school year you will also need

• A flashlight with batteries (this will be returned at the end of the year)
• All boys: a package of yellow copy paper
• All girls: a package of colored copy paper (any color but yellow)
