Biography Presentations

Here is the tentative schedule for the biography presentations. Please let me know if you'd like to come in and see your child's presentation. If the time below doesn't work you we can move some things around. The schedule is tentative and the times could be moved around a little to allow for flexibility in presentation lengths, student wiggles and other unexpected things that always seem to pop up :) 
There is a chance that some students may end up doing their presentations on Tuesday, June 4th if they end up running long. There will be no presentations on Friday, May 31st due to field day and our end of the year party.
If you think your child may be ready to present their project early please let me know as soon as possible.  Then we set a special "due date" for them and that will help to alleviate some of the craziness that last week. :)

AR Points
The last day to take AR quizzes in order for the points to be counted at this year's AR store will be May 15th.  Any quizzes taken after that date will go toward next year's points/store.

The box top collection time period is wrapping up and we want to win! Please go ahead and send in any box tops that you may have been saving! Thanks! :)

May Calendar
Our May calendar is so full at the end of the month, a couple of things may need some explanation.  The MAPS test for reading is on the 29th and everything in the green box at the end is on the 31st.  Some of the end of the year activities may be subject to change. :)

Oops! Also, the kids are supposed to wear green every Friday, not just the 11th! :)

Spectra Art
On Friday Mrs. Freeman taught us about Laurel Burch.  We used oil pastels and metallic paints to create her famous cats.  One more month of Spectra Art...it's been so much fun!

Spring Pictures
Please try to return the spring pictures and/or the money for them by Friday, April 26th.  The kids will get a prize if they're all returned by this day. :)

Clothing and Toy Drive
Our school will be collecting gently used toys and children's clothing for the children attending Elmcrest Elementary School.  Please drop them off by the front office April 15th-April 26th.  Thanks so much!

YAY!
We have officially adopted Khan, the White Tiger!  Thank you so much for all the support with the book sale and the donations! We even had some students who donated some of their own money from their piggy banks! :)

Book Project
Book Project #3 is going home today.  It is due on Friday, April 26th.  You will need a file folder to complete this project.  Please let me know if you do not have one at home and I can provide one for you and your child.
